Ok I got a new 2200+ processor to run on my a7v266-e motherboard. Previously before this I was running a tbird 1.4 ghz. By default my motherboard is configured to run the normal athlons and not the palominos. However the jumper where you can select which processor your running had been on palomino the whole time i was running the tbird. I never really looked as I assumed it was in its default position. So when I installed my 2200+ I got some frequency errors and then changed the jumper and then the board wouldnt work, so then after hours of torubleshooting, found it was most likly the bios.
My bios does not support the 2200, so I updated the bios to the newest version which was made to add support for the 2200. (Updated using the 1.4ghz) *big thank you to FRANK who helped me out bigtime with this*
So after the update which went fine, I cleared the cmos and installed the 2200 again. Then when I boot no post. I try moving the jumper again, no post. And now I put the tbird back in and try the jumper both ways and no post.
Does anyone know what could be causing this. I have been doing nothing but toubleshooting for 8 hours straight.
