I was looking in to direct cooling of my HD since I have read about many individuals HD's failing from heat. I can't seem to figure out how to have a fan positioned so that it will blow directly on to the HD. Any ideas or things methods that have worked for you are appreciated.:eh?:

Well, first of all, move it away from all the other drives.
Secondly, try posting in the cooling forums. They'll probably have a better answer.
Oh, one other thing-

If you harddrive is in a 3.5 bay then you kinda out of luck unless you want to mod your case to fit an 80mm or something infront of the drive. If its in a 5.75 bay then you can buy harddive coolers for around 10 bucks that will do a pretty good job cooling it.

First of all AFAIK most of the HD coolers are for 3.5" all i did was remove 2 of my 5.25" bay covers, stuck a 80mm fan there. and (b4 putting the fan) I got some 3.5" to 5.25" adaptor, and screwed the HD in, put it there, it droped my full load C from upto 58, to upto 49 when its extrememly HOT, but generaly I got about 10-13C drop in temps.
What kind of case do you have & how are the drives mounted?

you can rig them up easy. Just use some zip ties or insulated wire and mount them on a bolt hole or anything really, just make sure the fan is close and directed onto the electronics side of the hard drive.
