As above.

Anyone know if it will fit?

Just about to order from Dangerden & will order their GF4 block if it fits the new Rad.

I've done some really raw reseach on this, but I'm going to say yes, it will fit. Take a look at the dangerDen geforce4 Waterblock below. You can see how it is mounted to the Geforce card, but you can also see the UNUSED holes on the block too. Those seem to match up pretty close to the 9700 Mounting holes in the 2 pictures below.

I bumped into your answer here :

It seem that the 9700 uses the exact same mounting hole setup as the GF3

If you get the 9700, it is very important that you read at least page 3-5 of that link I posted....they ran into some interesting problems mounting a waterblock to the 9700

Thanks slipknot ;)

Good that the DD GF4 block will fit.

Re the problem, should be easy to file down the outer edge of the DD block to make the inner part reach the core.

Not too difficult I think.

I'll order one now.

Thanx again.

NP man. Good luck with the project. I'm currently in the market for a new video card too, but the Radeon is just to high for my blood at the moment. I may settle for a chaintech VIVO ti4200.

Apparantly the core of the 9700 sits slightly below the surrounding protective mounting, so you may need to put a shim between waterblobk and core or mill the block so it clears the surrounding mounting.

Heres a pic.

Teken from here where Jess from OCPC is testing his waterblocks (better then DD IMHO)
