I just bought a DLink wireless router. I got a question.. i was looking through the manual, and theres a part in the setup where you pick either static ip, dynamic ip, or PPPoE... I want to hook up my 3 computers to my one cable modem, but I want Adelphia to see one IP, so I just share one line, and they dont charge me more.. what should I pick for this.. static or dynamic? Any other tips on setting this thing up
P.S. 2 computers with WinXP, one with Win95
Your ISP either hands out an IP to you using a DHCP server, assign you one that never changes which is static or uses a system common to DSL systems which requires RADIUS logons by and encapsulated packet process called PPPoE.
I doubt you have PPPoE so you're going to have to find out if you get random IP addresses or have a set IP. If it's static, you'll be required to enter that information into the router manually. DHCP will obtain all settings from your ISP.
After that, it'll just be a matter of getting your PCs, with wireless NICs, to get their IPs from the router. Adelphia will only see the router.

I have currently have just this one computer hooked up to my cable modem. If I check my TCP/IP Properties in my network connetions, it is selected to Obtain an IP Automatically. Does that mean I use Dynamic??

Yup.
Then hook up all your computers to the router and have them get their IP automatically. THe router will then handle the rest.
