3d mark 2001 crash

I have been trying to get 3dmark 2001 to run on my computer but I have been getting crashes on dragothic.. I can run all other games but this.. I get a lockup with a blackscreen and have to reset..
I have a XP1700 @ 1.6ghz
asus a7v333
ddr 2100 generic
and a radeon 8500
i have un toast on it for 45 mins with no troubles temp only reaching 52C with a volcano 7 any help would be great :)

Reduce your overclock, or throttle your RAM back to CL3. That'll clear up your problem.

Stable on Toast or not, it's running into something it doesn't like in Dragothic and crashing.

Well the funny thing is now (same settings I can run dragothic but not part 2 of the car chase.. It seems to be random in what i can run and what i cant... i had a ful run last night and got 8913 3d marks...
