What's the AGP Aperture Size do? Mines set default to 64, but can i set it higher for better for performance or what? I have 768 ddr ram....
set it to 128mb, it's proven that between 128 and 256mb won't give you a suffecient boost.

If I have a 128MB Ti4600 should I set it to 256?

Nope. 128 is still fine

In some situations 256 is actually buggy .
EDIT : Found a recent review . Not the best as it doesn't use 128 mb cards but still interesting .

AGP Aperature setting does not have anything to do witht the amount of memory your card has. It is the amount of memory your system allocates to store video data after your video memory is full. 128M is more than enough for any game textures or video card on the market right now...

Vcard mem is still an important factor since the less mem you have the faster and more often the card will need sysytem ram .
It also depends as you have said on the particular program and texture size for example that's one of the reasons that 128 mb is enough for most if not all current games .
Incidentally mine is set at 128 and will likely stay the same even if i get the radeon 9700 pro I want :)
