Overclocking Newbie

I am building my a computer from scratch for the first time and need some opinions. I am purchasing an Abit KT7A-Raid for my planned overclock of a Duron 750 to ideally 900-1G. I am thinking about buying an Alpha 6035 with a Delta 38cfm fan (I think this is the jet engine sounding one) to cool it but I don't think that it will be sufficient. What is is best way to cool this setup without spending $100 for a water cooling system or creating "blow holes". Also, I'll be running a DVD player on it so I don't want movie drowning noise coming from the fan(s). Thanx

You could try a lower CFM fan for you're HSF combo. Or a larger fan with more fins to make it quieter. Try http://millisec.safeshopper.com/52/cat52.htm?707 well hope that helps.

Depending on what case u have, you may be able to put some fans in ur case. Most cases have a place at the front for a 80mm fan and the same at the back.This will help cooling ur case and CPU. Also you can install a slot cooler at the back and a harddrive cooler at the front which will help the through flow. The heatsink u have should be good. Reply and tell me what u up to boyo,

Definitely make sure you have adequate case cooling. It should be no more than 5C above room temp as an example. The 6035 will be adequate for the degree of OC you intend to accomplish, but be mentally prepared for that fan.
