I want to make a watercooling kit for my pc in order to save money, as after market kits are quite good but quite expensive too, especialy in greece where i live. I have some questions about the parts of the kit and i am hoping someone with experience in watercooling can help me.
First, the waterblock. I can get a massive copper block from a hardware store and drill it several times in order to create a path for the water. My question is weather the path should be spiral (case 1 in the image) or the shape 2 in the image. I also know swiftech doesn't use any of these designs, just some short holes in the bottom of the block. So i am kind of confused.

The second great question is the pump. In-line or submersible? I know in line may give slightly better temps, but the submersible is quieter, it adds less heat inside of the case. Apart from that i am having a hard time to find any inline pumps in the size i need. (Only too big pumps are available here). Anyway, i thought about getting the pump from an online store and found out inline ones are a lot more expensive than submersibles, for the same flowrate.
That's all i have for now.
I suppose i will have tons of questions in the futuree as i will be picking up the pieces for my wc kit.
