OK, I have a gigabyte GA-8SIMLP sis 750 MB with a P41.8a.

Can someone with a similar model MB got to CPU cool, go to temp setting / fan control, main tab and tell me WHICH settings you are using?

There is a temp1 and a temp2, UNDER TEMP2 (assuming its the proc temp)
1) 38C, setting = temp1 sensor pentium compatible Can't believe this is really 10 degrees less than in bios.
2) 15C setting = temp1 sensor transistor
3) 72C (ouch)setting = temp1 sensor thermistor Can't believe my processor is running for hours stable at 72C. :)

My question is, should I be using option 1,2, or 3 above? What are other people using?

I've got a similar question over in the intel cpu forum. Basically, my bios menu at startup says a different temp than any of the CPUCOOL settings. If you have some general comments or sugestions please post over there.

I thought I would post here and see if anyone has the same MB, and what settings they use.

Thanks
