OK, What do y'all think about the TBird 1400 ?
How is it on OC'ing?
What should I be looking for when purchasing this CPU?

AFAIK the price of the 1400 Tbird is outrageous due to its demands. An Athlon XP 1600+ would be such a better buy for several reasons. It's SMP capable, it produces less heat (ALOT MORE), the lastest steppings at Newegg have been able to overclock to 1.8gigs with the right components.

The Tbird 1400 were never that great clockers unless you had real crazy cooling, mostly water since they were so hot. They were like 50 degrees at load and stock...

There's not much to look for other than a good stepping and hopefully someone with a 1.4 Tbird can fill that in.

If you have a choice go for the AXP 1600+ You won't regret it.

u can get a 1600 + for same price or cheaper and they run @ same speed

and basicly the the 1.4 t-birds need alot of volts and cooling to get in the 1800-1900 mhz region

Yeah without a doubt there is no reason to buy a tbird if your mobo supports xp chips. Yodums what does "AFAIK" mean ?
