What is inside of your case ?

You need to screw one of the drive mounts (the stips on the bottom of the inside of the case) to each side of each cd-rom (or whatever 3.5" drive/device you've got that you want to put in), then mount it in the case.

They're made so you can just slide the drive in and out without having to unscrew them all the time.

Those are one of my favorite features in a case... too bad everyone on this entire planet that built their own computer picked that case!

I must add... I am glad I didn't jump on the "lets all get the same design case" bandwaggon, I got my nice little Lian-Li PC-60 which is green rather than the way overused blue.

Ok, don't feel stupid, people have to deal with this for the first time all the time :) when setting up a machine for the first time.

Ok, your manual should have a diagram of a bunch of pins, which shows where those wires (that should be running into the inside of your case, from the front panel) plug into. Those wires should have black square tips that have those acronyms Power SW etc. All you really need, is to get the power switch one on the right spot, to turn on the machine.

The manual of your motherboard is showing you where to plug them in, on that pin array.

As for your fans, you'll need to have your mobo and processor in before they spin, be careful, you could damage your psu by turning it on without the rest of your machine together.

hope that helps

thanks, but here is a question: from my case, it comes out about 20 diferent wires, but there are 2 which i think are the most important:

Power SW (2-pins)
Power LED (3-pins)

Which one i use? and, i don't get, how do i know if it's up-side-down?

========----=======

what's diference ATX Power Switch and Power LED (Both are on manual, but only power led i see in the case)

==--=-=-==

Those lil wires wich are about 10, and only ONE PIN each one, should i connect them? (if yes, where?)

=-=-=-=

from Power Supply, i must connect just one cable to my MOBO, right? that larger one, cuz there's 2 diferent smaller ones (4pins) and (8pins) which i dont have to use, and don't know where to use...

=-=-=-

god dammit! im sorry, im really dumb, i guess noone else will answer cuz of my long questions :( im sorry

thank you anyways, cya

Power SW: meaning Power Switch and the smooth side with words points out.

Power LED is a light that shows you have power.

And for the rest of the wires, I dont really know because with mine for my first computer the MOBO happened to be the same brand as the one in my computer that was built by an acctual company so I just matched em up.

The biggest cable is the one you connect to your MOBO

Hope this helps

Hey! Don't feel dumb, like I said, everyone had to go through this at some point on their journey to leetification :-D

Ok, the power switch on the back of your power supply, is for the actual power supply, if you turn that on, that won't turn on the computer, now the power switch in the front of your computer, turns on your computer (meaning that it allows the power from your power supply to get to the motherboard therefore turning the entire system on).

Just make sure, that the text printed on the small square black end of the wire that has power SW on it, is facing up, when you plug it in, this is how is suppose to be on most boards at least.

Let me know if this helps you get a little further, and dont ever feel stupid, thats what these forums are for, to help you to understand and learn, at least you (unlike many other computer users who just get frustrated and stop, then go and buy some crap gateway or dell) are making an effort to learn how to do it, so don't feel dumb, feel proud that you're learning all this stuff each step of the way : ) Let me know how it goes and if you need more help feel free to keep posting.

The power switch doesn't always point smooth side out... but it doesn't matter, because all switches are reverseable... it's the same as putting a jumper across the two terminals but less tedious. There is no harm that can be done to the Motherboard by getting the connections backward. All the white and black wires are ground and any others are positive, your motherboard manual should have a + sign for the power and HDD LED's which means you put the positive wire there.

Ya know, the worst thing about Lian Li cases is that there are no drive rails... They should have them...

Hell yeah, for what a Lian-Li case costs, it should have drive rails. I do like the slide out mobo tray in my Lian-Li just as much as the drive rails in my enlight cases.

I'm not too worried, I used to tweak a ton and stuff, but now I have my Lian-Li all nice, I don't play with the components as much anymore like I used to with cheaper cases.
