I recently learned about Zalman CPU coolers and how they are supposed to be super quiet while still maintaining low temps.

Im currently using a Volcano 7+ and its kinda loud. Do you think one of these coolers would work for my cpu? If so which one? Sorry no links.short on time!

I find Sandra tells me my cpu hits 54C or more under load...dont like...stable..but..

I have the Zalman alcu6500, its alright but not made for overclocking, but it can be run very quite but is unlikely to be stable unless you are at default settings. I recommend the Swiftech MCX4000 with a quite decent fan, that should do the business.

as yodums mentioned... they are not for overclocking. if you are going to get one, make sure you have good air flow in your case and dont plan on OC'ing.
getting a lower speed fan is also an option if you need it to be quieter

another option is getting a larger fan (use a funnel mount) running at a lower rpm

this is a 80mm to 60mm funnel they go all the way up to 120mm
or even build a air flow ramps / duct (over kill I get board some times and do stupid things like this :p)

no need to get a quiet fan, with the fanmate with should come with the Zalman you can reduce the speed of the fan to reduce the noise if you wish. btw that Volcano 7+ really is not a good cooler.
