PC Pitstop tests my pc and shows at end of test it has 512 megs of DDR ram.

On Detailed summary page it says symbios shows 256 megs installed... while windows reports 512 megs available.

WCPUID also shows 512. PC pitstop says my bios may be corrupted or "just an error" reporting.

Can anyone give al ink to another test site or give me a hint as what to do. My pc seens slower since I re-installed OS.

I'm soooo confuaed :) Thanks

When did you last update your bios? If you did so recently that might be the the root of the problem

Having some details about your system (motherboard, BIOS version, memory brand, OS, etc) may make figuring out the problem possible.

Sorry........Its a Abit KG7 mobo bios 1.2 with 512 megs of Crucial DDR ram. W2Kpro OS. The test only shows 3 banks for Ram with one used with 256 meg stick and the mobo has FOUR slots with 2 256 megs sticks in it.

Om post up it shows I have 512 megs and so does windows. Thats why I'm looking for another site to test this. This site says my SMBIOS only shows 256 installed with W2K reporting 512. This started with a attempt to install XP but my wireless pci card was not XP conpliant so till it gets here I re-installed W2K. This is when the problem started

Thanks
