View Full Version : Found glitch in e-mail reply

I just noticed that if you use the quick reply feature, which i always do, it won't send me an e-mail to notify me of replies, even if i have it enabled in the UserCP. This happens because there is no checkbox for auto e-mail reply in the quickpost box, and then it is not enabled. It would be much appreciated if someone could add that box to the bottom, or simply make it send an e-mail response if it is enabled in the userCP. Thanks.
It's not a glitch, it's by design. The "quick reply" is just that, a stripped down quick reply. It saves queries on the database.
Not everyone wants the email notifications as it can be a lot of emails.
You can use the quick reply then after you post the reply, just click the "subscribe to thread" at the bottom. That has the same effect.
like skip said, lots of people like getting the emails, but i for one cannot stand it. if i lose track of a post i can just check the search page and usually find it w/o a problem. but usually :o they don't get away from me to easily since i'm on all the time :o
