Just curious about how you benefit from having multiple clients if you are still using 100% of your CPU with 1 or 4.

Also, in order to have multiple computers contribute points to the same user name do they have to be on a network or simply use the same user and team name without modification to any of the configuration files?

Folding on a dually benefits from running two clients. Each can be assigned to run off of one of the cpu's so that both will fold.

Its also good for a moderately fast rig that folds on dial-up when there'as only one phoneline in the house. Folding will connect sometimes if you have set to auto-connect, during a phonre conversation and that can be annoying. So 56k'ers often set it to connect after asking for permission and have to watch it all the time so that they fold efficiently. By running 2 clients on 1 cpu, you force it to run more slowly on both, so when one asks to connect and the person is not around, the 2nd instance keeps going and at full speed (since the first instance would have effectively stopped).

Also if there are problems with the folding servers, one client may finish and have trouble connecting but the other will keep going and will pick up speed. You'll have the rig continue to fold even when you would normally be stuck waiting for the F@H server to get fixed.

All it takes to run several computers on the same name is to give them the same username and team number in the F@H config.
