I was going to get pc2700 for my Northwood P4, but was told it would hold me back.
I thought DDR400 was not very stable, or is that just for socket A mobo's?
Also, can a P4 mobo support both DDR and RDRAM, or do I have to decide which memory i want, and then buy the mobo accordingly?
AND, (sorry!), if the p4 runs on a 400MHz FSB, wouldn't pc800 RDRAM really be the best option?

PC1066 and PC800 is good but í i were you i would use DDR.
All DDR are good for P4 but the PC3200 (DDR400) could be overclocked so it perform like a PC1066.
It cost less.
There isnīt any board that support both DDR and RDram.
the most DDR boards support SDRam to.
what motherboard do you have?

I don't have a mobo yet, i am going to buy one accordingly.
What company makes good DDR 400 ram, and what is a good mobo for DDR 400, and also for easy overclocking.

Corsair XMS for DDR, Samsung for RDRAM. Good DDR and RDRAM boards are the BD7II and TH7II respectively.

if you want good DDR400 you should look after one with
Winbond DDR400 5ns.
The A-data DDR400 cost like 70$ and with some good burn-in you could get it to DDR490Mhz

the Adit IT7 is the best choice but the problem is that it doenīt have PS/2 printer and COM ports
if you donīt feel like spending money on a new keyboard mouse and printer you should buy the Epox 4G4A+ is a good choice
