Ok, well i haven't posted in a while but after seeing all these 1600+ threads and reading about the OC potentials, I decied to upgrade my 1.4 t-bird to a 1600+! Luckiy, I got a AGOIA, I think its a 0213 (week 13?) I was soo excited after seeing this, I forgot to write down or take a pic of the CPU :(

Well, right now its set at the factory speed 1600+@1.4mhz, and running at 35-36'C, which is a solid 4'C cooler than the 1.4 t-bird it just replaced in the exact same set-up! Nothing changed!

Well i have not OC it yet since im letting the ASIII set in for around 72 hrs. So later this week, I will start messing with the FSB and seeing what I can get it to run at stable. I haven't ran any tests for it yet, but will soon and post back the scores. I havent even updated my sig yet as you can see ... :p

Also wanted to say that NE is Great!! Well now i gotta find some comparable scores and temps for this 1600+ .... and update my signatrure :D

Well thats about it for now....

What are you waiting for? Time's a-wasting.
No need to wait for the AS to settle in, you can try increasing your FSB to 166 and run some benches and prime95 to test stability.
Good luck with your o/c.

Heat helps the AS3 settle in......at least thats my theory :)

But time still is required, so it will be a day or two for best results.

Congrats on the chip- they do, in fact, ROCK!

you should be able to hit 166 fsb right away if you know your other components can take it, i'm pretty sure the chip will, that's only mid 1700's and these chips seem to be 1800-1900 no problem, mine was running 10.5x166 on day one!

Thanks everyone, Im ready to start NOW, but think by lettting the ASIII settle in will give best overall results....will keep the post updated as soon as i start and get some tests done...as of now...temps still at cool 35.5 ....:burn:

rogerdugans, yea I know heat "helps" but I guess im gonna wait a few days which should give "best results" ... know what i mean :D

Well i guess i could try 166, but its late, so will try later ;)

maxima88, just wondering about your temps after looking at your Sig......how are you at only 34C under full load? I know there are many conditions involved, but with my set up as decribed above, should I be at lower temps, or is this about right?

I dont have a side blow fan, so maybe you have one of those or something else to help out? You are air cooled, right?
