Peltier basics

I'm new to the TEC (thermo-electric-cooler) scene... I know the basics of how a TEC/peltier works, but I have no experience with using them in a computer setup.
What manufacturers would you recommend and what power rating? Also, some links to sites regarding basic peltier installation and condensation prevention would be much appreciated!
