not really a comment or a suggestion but a question about the forums so i guess this is where it goes

at home i can sometimes get the froums and most of the times not

some times it will work the entire day

im on dial up

so i asked some people online at the same time the froum "was down" for me

and they said it was up

thinking it was a fast conspericy
i went to my libary that has a dsl or something faster than dial up

and bingo it works

questions is anyone else on dial up having this problem
any suggetsions for fixing it

( tired clearing cookies and turnning of firewall and clearing old temp files and cache)

my isp is called ipass any ideas from them

Skip once told me that there is a backup done every few hours that can cause the forums not to load, but it usually passes in a few minutes. The only thing I can think of is there might be traffic for your ISP that is causing a problem.

no i thought of that two
but this is like 2 or 3 days

it just started after the ups "unpleasntness" where skip lost some of that stuff

but i cant even ping the board when its doing it( or not doing it)

Skip has ping requests blocked at the router so it wouldn't work regardless.

As far as forums being down, it happens quite often and I don't it's any different for you than it is the rest of us. Being that you're on dialup, it is possible you're timing out sooner than those that are on broadband whenever the forums are taking a long time to load, but when that's the case, they're already so slow it doesn't really matter what type of connection you use.

All I can say as of now is that it'll be better soon. :]
