F@H is currently stuck on p180_enghomoeGB which I am getting as a faulty work unit resulting in Core Shutdown. Anyone have any ideas? I am currently using the console version.

If you can't get it to work, delete the WU and get another one. It isn't worth wasting time mucking about with.

I'm doing that WU right now.

Estimated total time from start to finish: 69 hours.

AG!!!!!

And about your problem, maybe it didnt get downloaded correctly.
Just delete it and start a new one.
Or just install a second folding@home and run it, leaving this one alone till you figure it out.

Have you had problems with your other wus? I had to lower my oc when I started getting p180s because it kept shutting down the core due to "faulty wu". When I lowered the oc the wu took off with out a problem I can raise the oc back to it's original when I have any other wu though. The comp will run at it's top oc running prime95 for hours on end so I'm not 100% sure why it won't run the p180 but it may be worth a shot. I only had to lower the fsb by 1Mhz to get to run the p180!!!?????? Good luck!

I've had a couple of P180's come back as faulty on 1 machine, right after it had done a DE NOVO gromacs WU. It did a PolyQ50 fine, but faulted out on 2 P180's. It's presently on another DE NOVO and I've just backed the OC down 1 mhz on the fsb to see if that helps stability.

Problem solved. Had to delete the wu and dropped my FSB by 1mhz. Had no problems with Prime95 or Sandra, oh well. Back up and folding is what counts.

:( I just had one of those work units bum out on me, took all week then at 95% done it screws up! @#%@#%^#$^@#!!!

I discovered on another machine that Prime95 is NOT a good stability tester, yes if it crashes you've definitely got problems, but I discovered this machine would run prime 95 fine for hours, it would loops the 4 game benchies in 3Dm for hours, but it was crashing while doing a Sandra burn in with just CPU and Multimedia tests selected. It also bombed out of the 1942 demo. Now it's burning in 1 fsb lower until it makes it. It's not RAM, that was set conservative.

edit: btw Doom running a demo benchmark was always my best stability tester, haven't tried it on my XP but on other systems it's a very good one. Tried using quake but it's not as sensitive.

edit 2: Doh, just thought, I heard that some F@h cores use SSE optimisations, prime95 doesn't, I think I saw an option for turning SSE opt off somewhere, or saw instructions to do it. Maybe that's the most sensitive part of the CPU and why some older benchies pass and ones that definitely should be using SSE fail. Just a thought.

I've had tons of problems with p180_enghomoeGB. I don't overclock, but everytime I play a game with F@H running, it'll corrupt the WU. But the problem seems to be solved whenever I don't play games, or when I shut down F@H prior to playing. I don't know why this happens, but that's my experience with p180_enghomoeGB.

I think only the gromacs core uses SSE optimizations but I could be wrong. The P180 uses the Tinker though.
