Well, My friend finally got his Radeon 9700 Pro last night from Futureshop and we had the chance to play Quake3 at a Whopin 2048x1536x32 with everything maxed and FPS never dropped below 75FPS.

You havnt played Quake3 untill you've tried it at 2048x1536. Wow is all I got too say.

Medal Of Honour also never droped below 75FPS (Refreshrate is 75Hz).

We havnt experimented with FSAA yet so we'll see how things turn out.

I included a Quake3 picture for all to enjoy!

wow someone actually paid the overinflated price at futureshop for that card, LOL bet he oput it on the card no pay for 3 months, easier on the wallet

keep us posted on card s performance and its compatibilty and driver issues.

Maybe in like a year I will get one , but for now the cost I assume of 600 canadian dineros at futureshop is way way way to much

There's something very cool going on if I have to scroll over an entire screen to view your Quake III screenshot in my native Windows reso ;)

Cant do it, not enough video memory.

You need 256MB of video ram to do 2048x1536x32 with 4X FSAA.

I'm limited to 1920x1440x32 with 4X FSAA, and 2X FSAA at 2048x1536x32.

I have a Radeon 9700 Pro also and have a question. Mine is the Sapphire version and the driver that came with it are fine, to a degree. The image quality is superb and the performance amazing but occasionally it crashes, I have only tested this on Mafia so far so this could be an issue with the game, not the card. Occasionally the game freezes and crashes the system, when rebooting xp sites the card as being at fault and the specific file that caused the problem is a "watchdog" wql or something file. I have tried to install the "powered by ati" drivers from ATI but they report that a device is not present to install the drivers to.
Anyone else with this issue?

Well you gave us a .jpg which kind of blows the point of quality since it's a compressed image file.

I do see abit of jagged stuff and I think you should up the AF and AA..
