Yes, I helped someone repair their ziff when something similar happened in the past. All you need to do is run down to the local hobby shop and buy some high strength super glue. Put a dot on the broken piece and carefully place it back. it should cure in seconds and be even stronger than before. Be careful not to get any glue on your MOBO as I am not sure if it conducts or not. Let us know if this helps and good luck!

I don't really think you can do anything about the clip, IF you can I would glue the gorb on with epoxy

Thanks I will try that.....

The Gorb is out. This thing is too tough for the cooling I get.

think I got a deal on an Alpha....

Still no luck on getting this thing together.

What epoxy can I use to put a HS back on this cpu?

Any Ideas will be great........

I've seen one article @ overclockers.com where the guy took a piece of aluminum, bent it a bit, so it was kinda in the shape of one of the lugs on his board and would fit the clip, then epoxied it right to the board! He said that it worked great. I don't know where the article is, unfortunately.

That is a good idea and gives me a couple others...

This isn't normal superglue is it, it must be something stronger? I only ask because my friend managed to bust his socket like this as well and we're trying to fix it.

I got it fixed....

I built up the side of the socket with epoxy. Then I drilled a small pilot hole (not too deep.) Then I screwed in a small screw and cut off the head.
Works great.

Thanks for your help guys...
