I noticed that there are several companies that sell peltiers/power supplies really cheap like http://www.thermonamic.com. However, they usually reqire a 100 dollar order, when u can get a pelt/supply for about $35. Anyone interested in making a joint order sometime in the near future?

That power supply doesn't provide nearly enough power to run a pelt on an Athlon, or PIV.

And their highest heat transfer capacity pelt is going to be barely adequate for a PIV. (And their supply won't run it anywhere near full heat transfer.) Not really much of interest there for serious overclockers.

I may be wrong, but for pelts... It seems that a "TEC1-12726" is PLENTY enough to cover a super overclocked T-Bird or XP! The PowerSupply's aren't the greatest... but whatever.

There is no way a 75 watt PSU could possibly work with a
pelt that could cool any Athlon!

Look for power suplies on ebay.

yeah, psu's suck.. but PELTIERS would work... if u just get the right one for your CPU.

You are right. I didn't look closely enough. Some of the pelts might be worthwhile.

I didn't find pricing on the more powerful pelts though. I'd also want to know if they were potted before purchasing.
