Anybody know where I can find a heater core that measures roughly 5" Wide, 1" Thick, and 6 1/2" Tall?

Or a site where I can browse cores?

i have been told it is easy to get a heatercore from a late 80's ford mustang / tempos...
you can take them out of the back of the glove compartment, thier is a little door that opens up, and you can pull the heatercore right out.

The junkyard is your best bet to find anything cheap... just takes some time

I was patient, and found mine on Ebay for about $14.00 . I also got a catalog of old heater cores... and browsing through it I find some that are close:

'89-'92 probe 7-1/8"x6-1/4"x1-1/4"
'88-'90 GMC pickup 8-1/4"x7-1/4"x1"
? GM vehicle (part number 540-081) 7"x5-1/2"x1-1/4"

There are others that are close, but nothing quite as small as 5"x6.5"x1" .

Let me know if you need more specific information.

I am aware of the more popular cores. I need a core that is slightly smaller/larger than those measurements.

How flexible are those dimensions?

Not very. You see, I'm putting this in my Coolermaster ATC201SX. I don't want to have to mod anything to get it in. I had an idea of putting the rad in one of the 5 1/4" bays, with a 25mm fan sucking air through... from outside. I'll get one of those hdd coolers, that has vents, and put it in the bay above the rad.

I also needed a heater core with a certain size (being mounted at the top of my case in a 5 1/4" bay). I went to www.heatercore4u.com and manually browsed through the size of every heatercore they offered. After I found a couple, I took my list to my local advance auto parts and found mine for 16.99. Check out the site
