I just bought an abit kx7-333r, a thermaltake volcano 9 (half the price of 7+), and a 1600+. The only thing i need now is memory. What would be the best memory (price notwithstanding), and what would be the best for the money. I think that the board supports pc2700, but what about pc3000 or 3200. I have been in the SDR realm for far too long, and needed an update from a slot a. Where would be the best place to buy it, and which brand?
thanks

i hear nothing but good stuff about the corsair xms pc2700 and higher. I was going to pick up a stick of 256MB at www.nutrend.com for $91 but now it went up to $104 and a 512MB stick is $179... I should have bought it last week before the price jump o well:(
If u are looking for the best then the corsair xms pc3200 would be it. but whatever u do pick pc2700 or higher:)

I have that board and chip. I bought Corsair xms pc3200C2. Should be excellent for overclocking, but I haven't made that move yet. Waiting for the AS3 to settle :)

I read on some post here that using two sticks isnt good. is that true. I do know that the guy was running a p4 system. is that the same for amd, or am i just a ******?
and also what is the difference between cas2 and cas2.5?
i know that the cas 2 is faster, but is it worth the extra 13 dollars for .5 cas's?
