Ok, i've decided that it's time to upgrade.. to intel this time(last intel cpu i had was a 600 mhz celeron II).
So this is what i was thinking of getting:
Abit BD7-II Raid Motherboard
I don't like the IT7-MaxII much, lots of stuff i would never use on it and still the same chipset, besides i'm a LONG term Abit fan, they haven't let me down once.(btw epox isn't availible in iceland)
1) What PCI dividers are availible on this board?
2) What CPU/MEM dividers are availible on this board?(i saw 3:4 on lots of reviews, wonder if 4:3 is possible?(assuming that 3:3 is)
3) I've read some things about a Northwood B cpu that someone said some epox board would support with a bios update in annother thread. Was he refering to the 133/533 mhz version of the normal northwood or some future intel CPU? If so will this board support it with a bios update?
Intel Pentium IV 2.4-2.53 ghz(533 mhz bus)
Reading the Intel section on OcUK store, i see the 2.53 ghz and 2.4 ghz labeled as "B". Is that an indication for stepping or that it's 133 mhz bus?
ThermalRight AX-478
Like it because it's the best(acording to overclockers.com) and it's not really that expensive, can get it for like ~25$ in the US. Also i love to have 80mm fan as default =) I'd probably slap a ~40cfm fan on it
I wouldn't upgrade my memory, since i have two pieces of 256MB Crucial Registered ECC pc2100 cl2.5 ram that has served me well, and it works on cl2 160 mhz on turbo timings on my amb motherboard. How much would this memory hamper my overclocking? I'm hoping that the motherboard will have 4:3 cpu/mem divider so i can run my mem at 133 and cpu at 166 for an example.
