leufkens copper shim

anyone here buy one of these things? I did and I'm not sure what to think of it. If you have one you will know what I'm talking about, there are no cutouts for most of the bridges on the chip, the L1's are uncovered but that is about it, all of the other L's will be under the copper plate. Being as it is copper, wont it fry the chip when turned on??? below is what the shim looks like:

as you can see by this crude drawing, there are no "cutouts" for anything on the chip, when laid over the chip only the L1 is uncovered. I have not powered up yet after installing this shim, I'm afraid to for fear of shorting something out!!! Please respond if you have used this product before!!

I got one from 2cooltek and it looked a bit different. it had a cutout for the l1 bridge and was opened up in the center to accomodate the other bridges and all the other little parts on the top of a T-bird. If the one you got is covering any of the other bridges, I wouldnt use it as shorting out those bridges will kill your chip.

the one without cut out`s is for a pentium proseser ,copper shims do little more then protect your chip from cracking
