I have just built a new PC:-
Abit BG7
P4 2ghz
Crucial PC2100 256mb
Enlight case/pwer supply
I have 2 problems. 1)when I first switch the system on after it has been off for a number of hours(i.e it is cold) nothing appears on the screen. The fans,HDD,CD spin up, however nothing on the display. I have to switch off at the mains and then try again. It allways starts second time.
2) If I make any changes or just look in the bios menu, after leaving i.e "Save and Exit", It will hang or reboot and complain that the processor it has found is either a 1.2 or 1.8ghz and I should reconfigure the Bios to reflect that. I have a P4 2ghz.
This problem is intermittent.
I have reseated Proc/memory, cleared cmos and upgraded to the latest bios version.
Any help please?
