You sound as if you wanted to reply to an existing thread.
Try pressing the "Post Reply" button next time, rather than the "New Thread" button.
You inadvertantly created a new thread.
You would use the New Thread button to create a new topic in the category that you are in, as you accidentally did. A reply would simply add your comments to the bottom of an existing thread.

yeah i did and i hit new thread on accident. you weren't supposed to catch it so fast :D . delete delete

If you get good at linux, try out FreeBSD (www.freebsd.org). Personally, I find FreeBSD (unix) easier to use in some respects (the package manager software install is easy -- pkg_add -r [program] -- and it'll download & install it. The ports collection is nice too :) )
But it's not as pretty, or as friendly as Linux.
