G-A 8IEXP Exploitation (Complete Discussion)

Dear Overclockers,
I think we all (users of 8IEXP) can participate in this discussion with our experiences and problems and also can exchange our tips, so that we all can get some benefit.
This is the only way to get maximum out of GA-8IEXP.

My system:
M/B - GA-8IEXP
Processor - P4 1.6 A
RAM - Samsung DDR 266

I am able to run my 1.6 to 2.26 with stability and I do have three questions.

1: Is there anyone who is able to change memory timings on this board and is there some tweaked bios available for this.

2: What would happen if one changes the bios of GA-8IEXP with the Bios of ASUS P4B533-e motherboard.

3: There is one more thing as I saw an emty jumper place on the board for changing the FSB between Auto and 133 (If any one tried it)

To change the memory timings on the 8IEXP, when in the bios main menu hit CTRL-F1 to bring up a hidden page for the memory timings.

By the way how do you rate 8iexp or 8ihxp. Are these good boards as compared to ASUS or ABIT.

IMHO, the 8IEXP is an inferior board to both Abit and ASUS 845E boards as far as stability is concerned. The featureset, however, is incredible. I owned the 8IEXP for a week or so and during that period I became so disgusted with it that I RMA'd it back to newegg. It operated ok at stock speeds, but as soon as I up'd the FSB at ALL it became unstable, having a hard time booting into windows, random crashing, etc. Maybe I just had a bad board, I really wanted the darn thing to work!

I just ordered the 8IEXP and read good reviews about it (www.motherboards.org being one place I read a review). I hope I do not have any problems with it. Once I get it and the rest of my hardware, I will post my opinion here.

I am now able to run my 1.6A @ 2.53 by adjusting the timings.
My system is rock stable with intel origional fan. I thing this board is good but must be explored.
As soon as I gets my new fan I shall be reaching 2.7.
