I'm just about ready to delve into watercooling. After reading so much my eyes are crossed, I've decided on my system. I'm going to custom build it using a BE Cooling MAZE Copper block with 90 degree nipples 3/8". I'll be using the RIO 180 pump and BE Cooling 5X5 radiator. The resoviore will be made from an underground 4x4x4 electrical box from Home Depot. I have been working with .25" plexi glass as a hold down for the water block. I liked the Danger Den design but decided to make my own. It took for ever to find nylon thread stock. Making it will be more fun, not to mention I got enough stock to make 10 of them for the price Danger Den wanted for just 1.

What are my chances of hitting 1Gig with this setup? I currently am at 800 (6x133) and 1.625 Volts. MBM temps show 28 oC at Idle and around 45 oC full load. Using a Radio Shack digital indoor/outoor themometer I determined (roughly) that my current C/W is over .50. This is terrible (Globalwin FEP32 w/ 26CFM fan). I thought this HS Fan combo would do much better. I could actually get 900 out of this chip but it ran to hot for my tastes. I'm hoping with water I'll get 1000.

you have a decent chance, nix the rio 180 and go with a 350 though, other than that you may want to consider a larger radiator than the small one, possibly even two in tandem. Summer is coming, the more cooling the better

Where do I find the RIO 350? Is it expensive. My goal is for a cost effective water cooling solution. I looked at EHEIM pumps but at $50, I decided they were just too much. The RIO 180 is only $14.
