If your goal is to get a P4 2.0a to ~2.8ghz using a Swiftech MCX4000 w/ a Vantek Tornado 84.1cfm fan
& 1x 512mb stik of PC2700 DDR

What chipset do you go with?
SiS645DX
SiS648
i850E
i845G
i845E
???

Then what board do you go with?
ASUS
GIGABYTE
ABIT
EPOX
SOYO
???

What do y'all think?

I'd go with an Asus P4B533 or An Abit BD7-II or IT-7. They are all 845E chipset boards.

Check the overclockers.com CPU database and see what boards other people are using to get the same results you want also.

As per my sig, i am running a 1.8a at 143 fsb and a 2.0a at 121 fsb. This is the best rate for either processor in each board (the 1.8 does 143 in either board). It has been my experience that the 1.8a o/cs better than any other.

The IT7 is the best board I have seen

I'd go with a Abit IT-7 MAX 2

Same chipset as the previoues one, And standard keyboard / 8x AGP...

In fact.. Im going to get that.. Thinking 2.56Ghz 533Mhz FSB CPU , Have NO idea what it will OC to :- )
