Can ya give me the names of a few professional File restoration utils?
I have alot of dirty pics that I want to recover from my crashed IBM. :)

And btw, which one of these disks are the most durable?: IBM (NOT!!), Maxtor, WD, Seagate?

Depends on just how dead your drive is. If it's just an undelete program you're looking for, there are tons on the net.

If you drive is REALLY dead though (FAT/MBR missing or corrupted, though detectible by BIOS), then I can suggest the software over at www.r-tt.com It saved my 12GB harddrive (and me) from total destruction.

As for reliability, a poll suggested WD, though from the many debates I've heard on the forums, I've heard the least complaints about Seagate. Maxtor and WD everyone seemed to have diffrent experiences about, but Seagate (when mentioned) had positive remarks.
