View Full Version : Overclocking GF 3 Ti500
I have a Abit BD711, an unclocked p4 2.4 OCed to 2.66, and msi gf 3 ti500. The memory is XMS 3200 CAS 2. I haven't got a clue how to set the V-Card up for optimal performance. Could some of you guys help me out? I wanna go... :burn:

Thanks
I reccomend the coolbits registry hack to overclock, you can find out about it and download a registry file to enable it here (http://www.overclockers.com.au/techstuff/a_coolbits/). You might need to download detonater drivers from nvidia.com to be able to OC it (I'd advise against the 40.41s, go for the 29.xx or lower).
Other people will reccomend stuff like powerstrip or rivatuner, both of which will allow you to tweak other options besides clock speed but I still prefer coolbits.

To to guru (http://www.guru3d.com) and download Rivatuner.
Nvmax works the best on my Ti200...basically the easiest way to overclock your card is to go very slowly and start off small like 25Mhz on the GPU and 25mhz on the memory them run 3DMark 2001SE and watch closely for any distortion or artifacts on the screen then bump it up a little bit more then try again. Once you get to the best settings then you should play your favorite GPU intersive 3D game for a while and see how that runs.
If you have never OC'ed a video card before you should probably do a little bit more reading first so you dont fry your card.
