I was wondering if i took everything out of my Cheiftec Aluminum Dragon Case and sprayed a coat of that ClearNeon Paint that Startfox used on his MOBO all over the inside of my case would it look nice? The inside of the case would be glowing blue, except for the hardware, and in my head that wound look cool but does it really look nice...if anyone has tried this please post your comments. Also would this stuff dry on the Aluminum walls inside the case or would it be all runny and wet :eh?:

Use two coats of clear neon and 2 top-coats of clear coat and you'll be in glowy blue heaven :)
The more UV cold cathodes you have, the brighter the paint will get.

Check party supply stores. They usually only stock the regular green stuff though. It's essentiall just hair spray with phoshorous particles in it.

I believe you might have some problems painting... because the inside is aluminum right? I heard that you may have to apply some special coat or something for regular paint to stick to aluminum. Not real sure on this though, so please do prove me wrong. :)

That might look pretty cool - your whole case would be glowing :)
Could be a bit overpowering, but I reckon if all the hardware was left as is (not uv sprayed) it'd be ok. Maybe you could pick certain parts of the comp out in uv as well - just spray the fans, or maybe the heatsinks as well, leave the circuit boards untouched. Ooh, the possibilities - now I want some of this stuff to try :D

OK, sounds good but where do i get my hands on Clear Coat. Also do you think 1 can of Blue Clear Neon paint is enough to paint the inside of the case and my fans?

One can is plenty. Clear coat is available at any store that sells spray paint, like Home Depot, Lowe's, Wal-mart, etc.

i'd probably look cool, however you want to be sure to get a very even coat through out the entire case...don't want blotches of light and dark
1 can should probably be enough, but get 2 to be safe, you never know---you might someday want to do another uv project

hey xbiker. i have already done this with white clearneon pait.
i think it works great, i did about 3 coats and it glows well. just
don't scrape on it. i didn't use any clear coats. go for it, you
can always whipe it off if you don't like it.
try it on inconspicuos spot of your case. then light it up with
the cold cathodes. if it looks good, do the rest of the case, if
not, then clean and think of something else.
the paint only takes 5 minutes to dry.
good luck! :p

Clear Neon currently has the best online deal and the widest selection of colors.

of that paint but the vendor never shipped the paint.
