Well I plan to buy an AX-7, a local vendor is selling the AX-7 with a Delta 80 mm fan on it that rates as pushing 80 CFm vs the 84 the Tornado

Cost is $49 Canadian which is like $32-33 US is this good enough for my 1600 /1800 which I plan to unlock and overclock.

Noise is a concern are thse things gonna make my unit a hovercraft or what? Rheostat what is this, as I am just getting into the cooling side of things more lately for fun......

Thanks all

get the rheostat because you are going to have hearing loss with sounds over 38dba

Yeah your right Dave !!! You will need earplugs but you can't beat
the way the Delta works with the AX7. Yes a rheostat will help or a 7 volt mod that will cut the noise down.

Okay Guys I plan to get the AX-7 and delta 80 mm fan but I need an explanation on a rheostat and 7 v mod, which is the better solution. (is a rheostat just a control unit for fan?)

Also looking at the Swiftech MC462 Heatsink w/ Delta 80mm Fan for Socket A, 370 but it is mucho more $$$
