when i turned my computer on sunday morning, i got one of those messages you just dont like to see. it posts fine, checks the cd drives for bootable cds, then..... disk boot failure, please insert system disk, blah blah blah. i restart several times, nothing. same thing. the drives were still showing up in the raid bios, and it wasnt giving any errors with that, so the stripe couldnt have been dead. i try the windows xp repair thingy, but it doesnt recognize any hdd. so i let it sit for a day, and put my new leds and switch in :D . in the mean time, i lent my brother my ram, so he could try to oc his system a little more (1.95 with a locked xp1600. 181fsb with fastest settings, might have done turbo, but didnt try. anyway,) so im ready to fix my rig. take my brothers ram (he still had mine) put it in, and boot up. im playing with the new switches, look up, and whodathunkit!? its in windows. so i promptly go home, get my ram back, throw it in, and it runs like a champ now. i still have no idea why it stopped working, and i dont really care :D . but if anyone has any ideas why it would have done this, i would be interested to hear. thanks.
