New Soundblaster coming very soon?

Does anyone have any information/links about that?

As I recall they are releasing this version in response to Hercules beating them to the punch with the Fortismo 7.1 released last month.

Supposedly is right. Thier just the biggest name, thats all.

Although I still have a Live! card, it will soon be replaced for good with a real sound card from a manufacturer that actually updates thier drivers and supports older OSs. Creative is just living off thier name. Personally, I hope they go under in the near future, especially now that Sound Blaster compatibilty is out the window and no longer necessary. No need for a company that doesn't care about its users or its product, since all they basically do is release a card, and thats that.

i'm no big fan of creative. actually, i rather dislike the support and overall quality. sad thing is, i bought an audigy. the only reason i bought it was for eax 2.0, but it seems that hercules has the eax 2.0 support. time to kiss creative goodbye!

I have used a Creative SB Audigy for some time with great results. I'm no fan boy, but I fail to see why there is so much hostility towards this manufacturer. Or have I yet to experience Creative hell...

Well, I will definitely stop supporting Creative as well. I have the Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1 and the driver support stinks. The Delta pro soundcards is what people should be getting if they really liked sound. I know 2cpu.com has a good audio section and that's what most members will recommend as a sound card as long as you have good speakers to support such a great sound card. My sound is crap now :( The driver support stinks and I'm waiting in LINE for a product I paid for? I can understand if it was downloading a demo or something, but I paid for this product and I want my service... and not to mention they haven't even gotten their SMP support sorted out either. Their drivers are 25mb and the Delta Drivers are 800K yet the Delta drivers perform much better! They offer EAX but it sounds like crap to be honest.
