I've seen it in heat transfer textbooks, but can't find anything on the internet. Here's a pic::burn:

What advantage do you hope to gain by using the internally finned tubes, and what particular application are you considering?

It may fall into that "lots of pain, little gain" category.

More wetted surface area. It's a new waterblock design I've been working on. I haven't seen anything like it on the net thus far. I'm hoping it will perform very well. Also it's not what you think, the lots of pain, little gain.

Thanks though

I'd use that stuff to make a water-cooler for my PSU...

It looks like it creates a flow vortex. That is , for a lack of a better word, neet.

If you're doing something new, more power to you. Keep us curious folks informed on your results!

I'm writing a huge report on 4 different waterblock designs and one of them I think will out perform the others by far. As soon as I get the report done I'll try and get joe to post on overclockers as a article. Starting to mill the blocks out next 2-4 weeks. Thanks for the encouragement.

i think it woud work better if it was internally & externally finned as well.. mab kinda like the fins would radiate heat off the water into the air right away too..

That stuff LOOKS expensive! But, I couldn't find a price list. Did I miss it?

I bet it is. I emailed the company and told them it was for a college project, so they might give me a discount. Since, I only need about 12 inches or so.

Actually for the design of mine it wouldn't help.
