im planning on swapping my 2 sticks of kingmax ddr, both 128 mb, for a stick of 256mb. wud a single stick be more overclockable? or should i stay with my 2 sticks?

1 stick is definitely more overclockable.

If I wasn't overclocking... would 1 512MB and 1 256MB stick perform any worse than say... 3 256MB sticks. Will it really matter if they are mixed?

Going from 128 to 256 is-was different in many cases than going from 256 to 512.
128mb is a single bank of the same density memory as on a 256mb only two banks of it.
For a long time 256 and 512 used different density memory chips and the higher density chips on the 512mb were less over overclockable.

The fewer sticks the better.
