It took me many many attempts to unlock a Morgan 1.2.
to be used on a Asus A7V 1.02

To get access to multiplier above 12.5x, I cut the L10 left bridge and connected all of L1 + L10 right bridge with defogger repair paint , then with pencil
didn't boot with bios 1009 or 1011 if multiplier switch on 12.5x (with/without jumperfree mode),

I cut/pencil L10, L3 and L4 to hard-mod 13x and remove L1 pencil , didnt boot either until....

I upgraded the bios to 1012 beta 1,
I choose dipswich setting 12.5 and jumpermode
or jumperfree mode (as long as multiswithch NOT 5x or 5.5x, )
YES, YES, YES, I got myself a 1.3 !!!

I mod L3/L4 to 14x and then the Mb would beep at power-up (1 long , several short). changing the voltage (either by painting or by dipswitch), and/or changing the multiplier) did not allow to boot.

So back at 13x / FSB = 100 MHZ / RAM 133 (SPD: 3T/3T/3T)
as MBM reports higher voltage than what is set, I have jumpered voltage to 1.65V , so MBM reports 1.75, idle temp =43C
If set voltage 1.85V, MBM reports 1.95, idle temp =46-48C.

Sandra CPU 3653 / FPU 1785

I will now focus on FSB / ram tweaking, and watercooling

At some time, there were Roadmap of AMD showing a Morgan 1.4,
did anyone see one ? and could post a picture ???

The best picture I got of a Morgan 1.3 was
at

http://www.amdzone.com/articleimages/cpu/duron1300/duron1300.jpg

It confirmed the info at
http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?/html/workshop/socketa/xp_painting.html

and of course the Info from John C.

the saga continues
(all voltage below are voltage set on MB, voltage reported by MBM are .1V higher)

As I had settled for 1.3 (because of no boot +beeps at 14x @ 1.85v ),
I lowered the voltage to 1.60V =>OK

then I upped the FSB to 107MHZ and bingo the same symptoms, which disappeared when voltage back at 1,8V
the PC is now setying the benchWU at 13x 109FSB PC133/2T/2T/2T

As neither the board nor the Morgan allow to set voltage higher than 1.85V, I may have to do the voltage mod to my trusty A7V to get this 14X which has become an obsession.

Heat output has also much increased :-(
