I dont know that I am a powerfolder with my xp1800 @ 166 FSB, but I am glad to do my share. (I guess I do have the ability to leave it folding 24/7 though).
More overclocking is in the works though

I'll admit that my power folding has been assisted by a little bit of what is called unethical conduct, but It benefits us all. Let's just hope I can keep it up and running on the many machines at work that are folding for us. At the rate this team is going, we should be hitting 1,000,000 before December. Now, if I can get some more machines folding at work. *evil grin* Has anyone noticed that we've crested 1400 processors working for us? Just thought I would point that out. Anyway, FOLD ON!!!!!

I noticed. I just wasn't sure if it was accurate. I was afraid the proc counters had gone haywire again.

There are currently 4 extras under my name from my linux / win2k meltdown this week. I'm not sure if my office machine which has been acting up has been getting new ID's or if it's been salvaging for the registry. good news is that it's folding (well GAH) again for team 32. Next question is how hard will it be to return wu's on this machine... I have a stupid firewall that decides to block without reason
[mission impossible theme]
The somber glow from the few remaining fluorecent lights catch the darkened figure moving from shadow to shadow. As the form takes shape, one could deduce that this person does not frequeent this office space on a regulat occassion. Outfitted in a form fitted black jumper, back-pack, and hood, the out of place individual glides through-out the office with intense purpose.
With a mere flutter of keys, a slip of the disk, and three quick mouse clicks, agent 00F secretly installs F@H as a back ground service....
He makes his way out of the office by parachuting from the 78th floor and landing in the front seat of his awaiting M8 convertable knowing that wasted computer cycles have been thwarted again.

they are running xp pro... i don't know the admin password... and I can't install anything on the c drive except for one folder. The folder is hidden enough, but i need to find a way to make it invisible. Also the text client won't run on these comps for some reason so usin EMIII and hiding it won't work.
LMAO Wedo that is funny!

I would say that a power folder is someone with 3 or more processors faster than the reference, a PII@400.

Soyo K7Dragon+
Athlon XP2000+ locked @ 1774
768M cheap mixed RAM
30G WD (For Windows)
80GMax (For Linux & Storage)
G4Ti4600/SB Audigy Gamer
430W Antec TP PSU
WinXP Pro SP1
Suse Linux 8.0 Pro
Twin 17" monitors
Logitech-Z560 4.1 speakers (my rigs louder than the house stereo:D )
4 case fans 3 in 2 out, 2 in the PSU, 6 babies in 2 bay face plates (in front of my HDD)
TDK 48/16/48 CR/RW
Generic 16/48 DVD-ROM
DSL clocked at 1228 dn/325 up
i.e. your standard boring middle of the road rig.
Have lots of parts strewn everywhere (built my in-laws a rig with scraps from my last upgrage that was still 2 generations ahead of what they had;) ) Just haven't gotten around to putting them together and networking them yet. Youngest daughter just moved upstairs with her siblings and I FINALLY have a computer room, now I just need to get it organized.
All of which earns me about 10-15 pts in 2-3 WUs a day for team32:D

We have many people who have just one or two cpus. Anything we can get is good and we help us bring OCAU down.

Well Like I said before, I too only have one computer crunching, but it helps the cause. I have bunped up my FSB to 180 compared to the 166 I was running before.
I did a little comparison and calculated the differencec between my stock XP1800@133FSB (11.5x133) compared to the same processor overclocked to (9.5x180). The stock setup would take about 1 minute more per folding Frame than the overclocked setup (for the enghomeoGB protiens). So by overclocking I cut 1 hour 40 min off each work unit...now thats worth it to me.

Well, I've managed a little over 5500 points since I started about 2 months ago. That's not bad, I guess, but I'm always on the lookout for more processors.
Oh, I just reached 22nd place...

Athlon XP 1900+ = 4 x PII400
:)
I've been folding nothing but 5 or 6 pointers since I started. The break in my folding was mostly due to me being really really sick for the past month. Problem solved now that I have broadband, so I can fold 24/7 unattended.
I'll have more machines up as soon as the connection sharing is finished (3 or 4 machines).

Sorry, does not work that way. An XP 1900 is still one processor that does one WU at a time.
