I have 2 more of these Acryllic waterblock hold downs that my roomie made for me left, if anybody wants one, just e-mail me and I'll get them in the mail for free. Nylon nuts and bolts not included, just the little nylon one in the middle.

Wouldn't you risk ripping the pins off the CPU???

You got mail! Send it to me! I relly need both of them.

I fried a 1gig T-Brid because the cheapo (BeCool?) waterblock clip broke the middle plastic tab off the mobo socket & the waterblock was just hanging off it. My 1gig T-bird burn up before I even know it. $175 down thr drain. Sad...sad.

Now I got a new AXIA 1gig, I don't want to use the same crapy waterblock mount again.

They are easy enough to make. Get some 3/8" lexan, some 6/32 nylon screws, whip out your drill and you are all set. I had made one from 1/8", but it wasn't strong enough, and cracked around all the drill points. The 3/8" is holding up fine. I would also recommend eliminating the center holddown screw, as it was partly responsible for chipping a TBird core.

Ya, I'm not using it on mine either. I just make sure the thing is level on the chip.

Agreed unless there are pelts involved. Gotta try this with my $40 Duron.

nah, make the block as light as you want! Plastic! The water is the heaviest bit.

I'm gonna make a chiller for mine soon.
