Notebook Optical Drives- Places to get and what I need to know

I know that I need adaptors for slim notebook optical drives, but I was wondering if there's one for all of them, or if I need to get them for a particular model. Also, Id appreciate it if you could point me in the direction of a good store or two for these and the drives themselves.

Are you looking for general external optical drives like cdroms and cdrs or are you looking for more exotic optical drives like the fujitsu dynamo optical drive?

If you want a basic optical drive (i.e cdroms) and you have an up to date notebook, just use a USB interface drive

Im not going to be using it for a notebook, just a project where I need it slim, so Im not going to be using USB. And yes, I was looking for regular old CDROMs, actually a DVD and a CD-RW.

Never mind though, I found what I was looking for.
