What do I need to use these? I have comp from about last year, and I just blew out my old speakers.

all you need is a soundcard to plug them in, and some awesome music or a good game, because they sound so good.

Ok, well instead of me making a new thread, can a mod move it?
You need a soundcard that supports 5.1 analog audio. If you dont have one yet Newegg.com (www.newegg.com) has an excelent deal on a Soundblaster LIVE! 5.1 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=57&manufactory=1137&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1), only $32

Well thanks, red, and how do I know if my mobo supports it? (this is a pos compaq). I know it has a pci slot, but it cant even take a real video card....
yeah you should get a soundblaster live! 5.1 mp3+ or gamer
or you can get a soundblaster audigy mp3+ or gamer ($30 more)
all of these cards would work great... oh and as long as you have a free pci slot then it should work just fine... dont' forget to install the drivers! hehe :) good luck!

audigy's are far superior to sb live!'s, they are worth the extra $$$

I can not and will not justify spending $400 on speakers when the LOGITECH Z560's give such a nearly EXACT sound at $145 on a nice card such as my platinum........

turn those logitech's all the way up and do the same with klipsch 5.1's and you'll see the difference. granted you'll probably never listen to them that loud but that's where the cost come's in.

pfft....lol u can tell the difference bro, the klipschs sound really good loud, the logitechs are still good though, for those of us with less spening money, but the klipschs 5.1s are awesome, the 4.1s are fine as well, and a lot cheaper, id go with them, unless of course your rich and enjoy spening money on your PC.

The first rule of pc's is RTFM. Read The F***** Manual. We can help you if we know more info. We can't look inside your pc and tell you what add on cards it'll take.

Yeah i have the klipsh's that i got off a friend who needed money for 200 after they had only been used for a month and i love them. Be careful about the audigy on XP becuase somepeole such as myself were having problems installing it and getting it to work but after many nights of frustration, i got it to work. If you get an audigy read up on how to install it right
