View Full Version : xp 1900 stepping................good?
Just got my new xp 1900 and on the chip it says:
AX1900DMT3C
AGOGA0152RAM
Y7496330403
1999AMD
Is this good for overclocking?

i'm not sure how good that stepping is but i can tell you that it isn't the _best_. but don't worry, it'll run quite fast and i estimate u may be able to squeeze 100-200 mhz if you're lucky.

I checked on the cpu database and found that the top spot was in fact an agoga stepping, but it required over 2.0 volts to get there meaning major cooling , there also seemed to be a few with less of an overclock and voltage also so I would say mid 1700's would be normal,My Agoga 2000+ maxed at 1800.

ah well i got it running at 1.7 at the mo

It's on www.overclockers.com front page, check it and see for yourself what it will do.

i think it is the best 1900 stepping out there i had a agkga and would only do 1720 stable w/ 1.9v.
1900's, because they are the least purchased amd chips, do not have the latest steppings on them
ah thats good then, should be able to over clock it quite well.
i have had a look round for that thread about burning in (which apps to use) and cant find it, anyone know? better still anyone know where i can d/l prime95?
