I dont know if this should be in the MSI mobo forum, so sorry if its in the wrong place.
I have a MSI KT3 ULTRA R and after the post screen the "MB FastTrack 133" raid detection screen copmes up and lasts bout 1min, is there anyway to by pass it, so that my comp boots faster?

Not that I know of. That's the RAID BIOS, so there's no helping it unless you disable the controller (at least from my experiences with a TH7-RAID)

Yep, hence why I deal with two CD drives on a cable (hate IDE *shudders*) so I only need to use two IDE channels. Long boots are annoying :eh?:

well here's my question. do raid controllers scan for drives like mobo-raid combo do after post? the mobo-raid delays my boot by about 5-10 seconds but that's only because i have 2 drivers on each channel so it doesnt wait.

My fasttrak RAID controller does scan for IDE RAID devices...it takes about 30secs or so...nothing you can really do about it except turn on your computer BEFORE you get your food/drinks so you don't ahve to get up when you gaming:p

Just leave your system on 24/7 and FOLD. Best way to use your computer. Keeps the system lasting longer when it never get shut off and temps are always the same. Click the link in my sig if you want to know what folding is.

I have a cyrix 150@166 that is still running today as a Linux firewall.

If you're not using that controller there should be an option in the mainboard BIOS to disable that controller altogether. It will bypass that screen.
