Ok- for 2 weeks i left my watercooling running solid- getting 30c-49c folding in my "attic work room" the room temp varied from 26-50c--
then on the last day i go and check out the temps- 54c with a room temp of 28c!!! I was like WTF!!! So i ripped it down and emptyed out the coolant mix- (distled water- ww- green food color- a TAD bit of antifreeze)
And redid it in my case- same coolant- and now its running fine!
Did the block get loose? Did the water "go bad?"

That is wierd. You sure you just didn't happen to catch it when the P4 wasn't using throttling? I hear (don't have one) they do this much of the time.
Did you inspect for flow killing bubbles before you tore it down?

I should have said this was my Xp 1600@1833 - With NO air bubles~ Its realy weird---
Huh, maybe just solar flares or something strange like that. :D
I've had a time or two with unexplained temporary temp jumps, but just thought it was my Abit. I never really investigated further.
I didn't read your sig close, and just homed in on the first one being a P4.

maybe hte tem reading was wrong, not the block....did you try to restart the comp and check the temps if they were the same?

I tried reseting like 3 times- and im using a extrnal compunurse to :)

maybe the compunurse probe slipped a bit...

It's possible that the pump malfuntioned (slowed down alot) after running for a long time. Once you changed everything, it had a chance to cool off.

Did you mean 26-30 for room temp? 50C seems a wee hot. Also, did you compare the compunurse with the motherboard cpu temp? Exactly how many degrees do you figure it was out? I'm guessing around 7C (room28,water31,cpu47). There is no way it could of been the water, so it must be a block mounting or thermal paste problem.

No-i mean it went upto 50c room temp~ REALY REALY hot summer.....!!! The temp reading of my 8K3A+ and Next to core Tempsensor- read CONSTANT 5c to eachother~ I checked the mounting 3 times (still could have been that.....) and used artic silver 3~

If your board uses an In-Socket Thermistor to read temps this could explain the problem. They are inaccurate and rely on the air around that area, which can mean very inaccurate temps, especially if your watercooled.

Board uses Ondie- 8K3A+- and a compunurse as an external sensor for comparison-
Oh well- it will forever remain unknown- but its running fine now :)

More like sumertime in hell! To be honest, you problably wouldn't last 2 minutes in a 50c room. The air would be painful to breath and your body temp would rise fast due to the air heating the blood in your lungs. I suspect it's the compunurse that told you the temp was 50c. What was the cpu temp? It should have been close to 70c yet you said your highest was 49c
