Bigger fan?

I am running a p4 1.8A with the default HSF. I have a bunch of 80mm fans lying around and want to put one on it. How should I do it? I was thinking just taping it or using zip-ties to hold it on there... My question is, should I remove the fan on there first? How hard is it to do that? Thanks...

By placing a bigger fan on it, it might be less inefficient because the bigger the fan, the bigger the dead spot on the fan. The dead spot is the central circle that all the blades come out off where there is no airflow. Since the deadspot will be right over your sink, the sink might not carry out heat convection as well.

You should read the quide around here to stop the stock fan from slowing down~ it varies by temp- ill find it......
