Ok, currently I have a 900mhz AMD Tbird, some cheapo mobo, 512mb PC100 ram, Geforce 2 64mb GTS, Sound Blast Live, 40gb 5200rpm hd.

I am getting a new cpu, motherboard, ram, heatsink, fan, and case/powersupply.

Here is a list of what I am thinking of getting.

-OCSystem 512MB PC2700 333MHz CL2.5-CAS 2.5 DDR SDRAM DIMM (http://www.ocsystem.com/oc51pc33cl25.html). I am getting the Copper Memory Heat Spreader and the upgrade from Cas 2.5 to Cas 2.0

-Chieftec Server tower DX-01SLD With Window SPX-02SLDragon SILVER Entry Level Server Case w/2 x 80mm sleeve cooling fan. 400W AMD approved Power Supply, Powered by Foxconn (Deer) (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=11-125-70) (top case on the page)

-GA-7VRXP Ver. 2.0 AMD Socket A KT333/8233A (266FSB/3DDR333) ATX Motherboard+ATA133 Raid Ctrl+CT5880 Audio+USB2.0+Lan (http://www.fticomputer.com/cgis/detail.cgi?product=MB-GA-7VRXP&ses=&cat=MB)

-AMD ATHLON XP 2100 + 1.73 ghz (http://www.sonicparts.com/index.html?target=dept_77.html%23item_241&lang=en-us)

-THERMALRIGHT AX-7 (http://www.plycon.com/ax7.htm)

-THERMALTAKE 80mm SMART FAN II (http://www.plycon.com/thermalsmrt.htm)

Everything totals out to about $487.83 with shipping. I am keeping my Maxtor 40gb 5400rpm hd, 42x cd-rom, floppy, Sound Blaster Live sound card, Geforce 2 64mb GTS vid card, and 10/100 ethernet card.

Everything I have here, Is it a good system to overclock with? Any suggestions for changes to anything I am getting?

I went back to that website where I was going to go purchase my ram and I am thinking on getting OCSystem Expeditious Gamer 512MB PC2700 333MHz CL2/CAS 2 1T DDR SDRAM (http://www.ocsystem.com/foncoliexgam.html) instead of the other ram I had listed.

Not a bad rig. The only area I see that might be a little weak is the memory, posters here seem to be having mixed results overclocking OCSystems RAM.

A better choice would be Corsair XMS3000 or 3200 in CAS2.

the only memory that works on this mobo is:

DDR333 (PC2700) / DDR266 (PC2100) / DDR200 (PC1600) -184pin

I will go look around a bit more.

I went and found a Corsair XMS2700 512mb for $156 with free ground shipping:

CORSAIR MEMORY XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 512MB 32MX8 PC-2700C2PT With Platinum - Silver Heat Spreader OEM
Specifications:
Speed 333 MHz
Organization 64M x 64
CAS Latency 2-3-3-5-T1
Memory type DDR
Part number: CMX512A-2700C2PT (ITEM=NU20145412)

Where it says "CAS Latency 2-3-3-5-T1" that is Cas 2.0 right?

Look at ABIT boards. So far I am really happy with my KR7A-RAID. OC's really well, however it wasn't cheap.
